Sporekill is very effective when fogged into clean growing rooms prior to filling them with fresh compost.
Rate is 1 Litres Sporekill in 4 Litres water for 1000m3
After fogging is complete, turn off fans and leave for 12 hours. This lets the fine fog drops slowly on every availble surface in the room.
Wash out fogger with warm water after use.
Sporekill is first a fungistat and fungicide for the safe disinfection of surfaces with the additional benefit of a soap film to trap any spores and mycelial debris landing on them after the disinfection operation….that’s BELT & BRACES!

Concrete surfaces around your farm are a ‘haven’ for spores and mycelial debris. SporeKill has been specially designed for use all over the mushroom farms and no area is it better than on concrete floors. One of its 3 functions is to trap spores and debris.
The diagram below shows a vertical cross section through a concrete surface and demonstrates clearly how spores and debris fall into the gaps ready to come out when you dont want them. Sporekill has a unique sealing action that traps the debris in the holes and across the surface forming an impervious film.
TRAPPED SPORES OR DEBRIS ARE SAFE BECAUSE THEY CANNOT GERMINATE.
Here is a great way to test for moulds around your mushroom farm.
Make up a 50:50 solution of Hydrogen Peroxide with water and place into a small spray bottle. Just simply spray a small amount of the solution on the surface you want to test and wait 15-20 seconds. If you start to see ‘fizzing’ or ‘bubbling’ it is an indicator that there is live organic matter present (which includes spores)!
It is a great way to really test how good your ‘clean up’ really is. You can also combine testing and disinfection at the same time using SporeKill which is compatible with hydrogen peroxide. Looking for evidence of ‘fizzing’ will show the guy doing the clean down that more attention has to be given in that area. There are no residues left after the process!
