Here is a great way to test for moulds around your mushroom farm.
Make up a 50:50 solution of Hydrogen Peroxide with water and place into a small spray bottle. Just simply spray a small amount of the solution on the surface you want to test and wait 15-20 seconds. If you start to see ‘fizzing’ or ‘bubbling’ it is an indicator that there is live organic matter present (which includes spores)!
It is a great way to really test how good your ‘clean up’ really is. You can also combine testing and disinfection at the same time using SporeKill which is compatible with hydrogen peroxide. Looking for evidence of ‘fizzing’ will show the guy doing the clean down that more attention has to be given in that area. There are no residues left after the process!
For details on application rates, please contact us directly. Please note that people using hydrogen peroxide must have protective gloves and other protective clothing as needed as it is a poweful oxidising agent.
