Feeding mycelium in the compost zone
“There are quite some issues with low activity compost in many parts of the world at this time. With these types of compost there is no benefit in adding formaldehyde soya based supplements which are difficult to degrade and not effective on mycelium growing, it just wastes money! Using balanced products like Natural Gold or Liquid Gold in the compost will speed up your timing, give better quality and longer lasting energy to the mycelium. Further combining these with MycroNutrient in the casing promotes higher yields. “ Nikodem Sakson, Poznan. April 2013.
Nutrigain has many years of experience in controlling moulds using natural compounds in our supplements like Natural Gold. Having a nutrient/supplement in a liquid form (Liquid Gold) opens up lots of new possibilities as a fungal protectant in the compost especially as we are able to utilise some of the technologies from our disinfection side of the business. Normally the composting and pasteurisation process forms these protective compounds in abundance, but if something is not in balance or not done quite correctly, they are missing. By using this type of product, it acts as an additional insurance policy in the fight against competitor moulds.
